Drive north towards the unspoiled Kalpitiya. The place is on the tip of a peninsula with the Indian Ocean on one side and a lagoon on the other side. You can relax on the beach, snorkel or try kitesurfing. On the beach in front of the camp you can experience the local fishermen and the welcoming residents who are not used to tourists.
The journey continues to Kandy, the capital of the central province, which is one of the UNESCO’s world heritage site. Here is the rich opportunity for both cultural experiences and shopping. You will experience temples, including the temple of the relic Buddha’s tooth, the local market and watch the local performances with their traditional dances.
In Kandy, you live in smaller groups with local host families. You are going out and cycling in the mountains around the city, and have time to buy some of the many fine items from Sri Lanka like artifacts, gems & jewelry, silk, batik, handbags, masks, figures, spices and much more.
Journey continues to Arugam Bay, located on Sri Lanka’s south-east coast.
Arugam Bay is considered one of the world’s top 10 surfing sites, so you will of course have to test your ability and have some surfing lessons. This location have no major hotels, only small backpackers, guesthouses and surf shops.

Next you are on elephant safari in Udawalawe National Park. The National Park is home to Sri Lanka’s largest stock of wild elephants. About. 400 Asian elephants live here, in a large area around two major lakes, Udawalawe Reservoir and Maw Ara Reservoir.
Not only elephants In Udawalawe National Park, you can be lucky to see water buffaloes, otters, bears, deer, giant squirrels, crocodiles, Monitor lizard, monkeys, wild boar, peacocks, green beekeepers and many other bird species.
From the coast you drive into the mountains of Ella, located in “Hill County”. Here you will draw, zipline, swim in waterfalls and participate in different teambuilding exercises.
Now the trip to Kithulgala, a small piece of rainforest area in the mountains. Here you can do water rafting and try canyoning. If you want more adventure, you can choose to do abseiling 45 meters down of a waterfall and with lots of experiences in your luggage you travel home to Norway or further into the world.
