You live with host families in cultural Kandy, try hot-air-balloon ride or climb to the top of the impressive rocky fort of Sigiriya, travel through the jungle in a 4x4Jeep safari in the Wilpattu National Park (the oldest and largest national park in Sri Lanka), sunbath on the deserted beaches of the east coast, do white water rafting in the rivers, visit temples and surf the famous waves of Arugam Bay.
ROUND TRIP – IN THE FIRST TWO WEEKS OF THE TOUR

Drive north towards the unspoiled Kalpitiya. The place is on the tip of a peninsula with the Indian Ocean on one side and a lagoon on the other side. You can relax on the beach, snorkel or try kitesurfing. On the beach in front of the camp you can experience the local fishermen and the welcoming residents who are not used to tourists.
You will stay in Dambulla. You will visit the “Lion Rock”, one of Sri Lanka’s most important sights. You take the many stairs to the top of the impressive 200-meter-high rock fortress. frescoes of beautiful young ladies and the great lion paws. From the top there is an impressive view.
The journey continues to Kandy, the capital of the central province, which is one of the UNESCO’s world heritage site. Here is the rich opportunity for both cultural experiences and shopping. You will experience temples, including the temple of the relic Buddha’s tooth, the local market and watch the local performances with their traditional dances.
In Kandy, you live in smaller groups with local host families. You are going out and cycling in the mountains around the city, and have time to buy some of the many fine items from Sri Lanka like artifacts, gems & jewelry, silk, batik, handbags, masks, figures, spices and much more.
Journey continues to east -Trincomalees. deserted, beautiful beaches, one of the best places to dive in Sri Lanka. Here you will visit the local temple. You will also go snorkeling to Pigeon Island and on whale watching. The area has very few tourists, so a trip to the Tamil temple together with the locals is a special experience. Here you become the attraction.
The next few days you have free have time to swim, snorkel and enjoy the ocean and the beautiful beaches. You can also choose to take a diving certificate.
Journey continues to Arugam Bay, located on Sri Lanka’s south-east coast.
Arugam Bay is considered one of the world’s top 10 surfing sites, so you will of course have to test your ability and have some surfing lessons. This location have no major hotels, only small backpackers, guesthouses and surf shops.

next you are on elephant safari in Udawalawe National Park. The National Park is home to Sri Lanka’s largest stock of wild elephants. About. 400 Asian elephants live here, in a large area around two major lakes, Udawalawe Reservoir and Maw Ara Reservoir.
Not only elephants In Udawalawe National Park, you can be lucky to see water buffaloes, otters, bears, deer, giant squirrels, crocodiles, Monitor lizard, monkeys, wild boar, peacocks, green beekeepers and many other bird species.
Finally, visit the Elephant Transit home which is located in a small corner of the Uda Walawe National Park. Here, elephant children up to 5 years of age can have a bottle of milk twice a day. The elephants walk freely around the national park and are wild. You will experience the lining at a distance, so the elephant children do not make friends with people. The elephant orphanage is the only one in Sri Lanka, which reigns with elephant uprights with a view to reestablishment in nature.
From the coast you drive into the mountains of Ella, located in “Hill County”. Here you will draw, zipline, swim in waterfalls and participate in different teambuilding exercises.
From Ella to Hatton you take the train with the locals and enjoy the spectacular view of outside tea plantations, waterfalls and green mountains everywhere. In Hatton, you will explore the great tea plantations when you are going to enjoy the local tea in the field and pick tea leaves.
You enter a tea factory and watch production. You can buy tea of the highest quality at low prices.
Now the trip to Kithulgala, a small piece of rainforest area in the mountains. Here you can do water rafting and try canyoning. If you want more adventure, you can choose to do abseiling 45 meters down of a waterfall and with lots of experiences in your luggage you travel home to Norway or further into the world.
